Effingham County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, pull an official booking record, or provide legal advice. Contact the agency that created or maintains the record.
Where to Ask for a Record
Use the contact that matches the record. The sheriff's administration address and the jail division address are published separately, so they are kept separate here. Call before traveling because agency hours and procedures can change.

The sheriff's Open Records Request page says requests may be made in person in the administration-building lobby. Ask for the booking sheet and booking photograph, identify the person and approximate booking date, and request electronic delivery plus a cost estimate. ECSO does not publish a flat photo fee or guaranteed production time.
Choose the Right Office
Routing a question to the wrong custodian can add delay. These are the main paths for Effingham records.
- For a current county jail entry, use the ECSO Booking Desk or call the jail at 912-754-9715.
- For a past booking sheet, release record, or booking photograph, use the ECSO records request route and identify the date and booking number if known.
- For a warrant question about yourself, follow the Sheriff's Most Wanted page and appear in person with picture ID. ECSO says it does not discuss active warrant status by phone.
- For a court case or disposition, search the Clerk's case-management system and try all spelling variations.
- For a state-sentenced record or GDC image, use the Georgia DOC Offender Search.
- For federal prison or immigration detention, use the BOP or ICE locator. Those systems are not county mugshot sources.
City Police Records
A city police report is not the same as a county jail booking. Request the incident or arrest report from the city agency, then ask ECSO separately for the jail record or photograph. A dispatch recording may belong to county emergency communications even when the city police department does not possess it.

912-772-8745
Open-records email PD-OpenRecords@CityofGuyton.com; fax 912-772-8761. The form permits electronic, paper, inspection, or disk delivery.
Rincon's police page says it does not possess 911 audio or dispatch logs and warns that active-case supplements and evidence may be withheld until adjudication. Guyton posts no fee schedule or response deadline on its form. Do not transfer one city's fee or deadline to another agency.
Before Calling
Have the full name, approximate arrest or booking date, arresting agency, case or booking number, and the exact record requested. A precise request helps the custodian locate the correct file and explain any redaction. A missing online result is not proof that no booking occurred.
For urgent danger, call 911. For general tips, use the official sheriff tip channels. For a personal warrant or court issue, contact an attorney and the issuing court. This private resource cannot make those decisions for you.
